FAQs

Here are some of your Frequently Asked Questions…

1. Do you have Wi-Fi?

We do. There is free 2 MB WiFi in all our training rooms, public areas and bedrooms. All you have to do is ask for an access code from reception. We also have excellent mobile signal throughout the Estate.

2. What’s included in our meeting/training package?

Our Day Delegate Package includes main meeting room hire with free WiFi; screen, LCD projector and flipchart in each conference/training room; Conference Service Assistant on call; three-course hot and cold lunch; unlimited tea, coffee & biscuits; fruit cordial, mineral water and mints; free parking for 200 cars.

The 24-hour Delegate Package includes all of the above, plus en-suite accommodation; three-course dinner with coffee; traditional Cotswold breakfast; use of leisure facilities; preferential rates at Broadway Golf Club. For more details, please go to our Prices page.

3. Do you offer private dining?

Our chefs are always delighted to provide special menus and can work to a chosen theme. You might like a private, fully-served dinner in the Broadway Room, lunch in our new conservatory or perhaps a BBQ on the patio (from where you’ll see some spectacular sunsets.) Please consult the Menu Options page.

4. Can you cater for special diets?

We are used to dealing with a wide range of dietary needs, from dairy-free to gluten-free, Halal meat to personal dislikes. All we would ask is that your event organiser pass the information on to us a week or two before the event. The daily menu always includes a vegetarian option.

5. What leisure activities do you offer?

The Great Outdoors is our greatest asset. There are lovely walks in every direction. You can easily stroll to the pretty market town of Broadway or visit real Cotswold pubs in the village of Willersey. Photographers will love the wildlife and the long-distance views to the hills of Wales. Indoors, we have a spacious lounge bar with large-screen TV, pool table and board games. There is a small gym and we are building a bigger one in 2012. If you are a golfer, there’s the magnificent Broadway Golf Course on our doorstep. And if you stay for a weekend, you could join one of our Farncombe Estate leisure courses: subjects range from singing to crafts, astronomy to Bollywood dancing.

6. Do you have a running track?

We don’t have a marked track, but there are lots of paths suitable for running around the Estate. Reception staff will be able to give you advice.

7. What happens if it snows?

We have our own gritting trailer and snow plough on the Estate, which means that we can usually clear the long drive down to the Cotswold Conference Centre campus. However, we cannot guarantee the state of the roads. If for any reason we cancel your event, then you would not of course be expected to pay. But if your event is running and you can’t make it, the responsibility will be yours.

8. How do I get to you by train?

Our local train stations are at Evesham and Moreton-in Marsh, both seven miles away. They are on the Cotswold Line between London and Worcester, operated by First Great Western. It takes approximately 1.5 hours from London Paddington to Moreton in Marsh. We are able to arrange free transfers from either station for residential delegates – please see our How to get here page. If you are a Day Delegate, we can arrange the transfer and add the cost to your bill.

9. Are dogs allowed?

We do have a few dog-friendly bedrooms, but dogs are not allowed in our public areas and not in other bedrooms (some of which are designated Allergy Free.) There are plenty of paths and dog walks on the Estate, but we would ask that you pick up any dog mess and dispose of it responsibly.

10. I suffer from an allergy – what does your “allergy friendly” status mean?

We are the first conference centre in Europe to win the Ecarf seal for allergy friendliness. Eight of our bedrooms are designated Allergy Free, which means wooden floors, fewer fabrics, special cleaning equipment and no pets or pot plants. It also means a lot more – please take a look at our Allergy Friendly page.

11. What if I want to stay an extra night or bring a partner?

It’s always possible to stay an extra night or more either side of your event if we have rooms available. You are also welcome to bring a partner – a charge would be made for meals taken. To check availability and prices, call Reception on 01386 858000.
