Access For All
Committed to meeting your needs
Our hillside position gives us fantastic views – and plenty of ups and downs! There are 100 steps from Springfield House at the top of Farncombe Estate Centre to Smallbrook at the bottom – and more down to Maudslay Court. It would be wrong to suggest that a sloping site is ideal for all delegates, but our positive attitude more than makes up for the terrain.
Cotswold Conference Centre staff have a commitment to ‘accessibility for all’. As part of their induction, all staff are trained in Customer & Disability Awareness with an induction booklet and video entitled “Actions Speak Louder than Words”. We frequently review accessibility issues at staff meetings.
These are some of the measures we take to help people with access problems and special needs:
* Eight bedrooms (including two rooms in Maudslay Court) are designed for disabled users. Some have generous wet rooms, grab rails and a security cord
* There is full wheelchair access to our reception, bar, dining areas and most bedroom buildings
* Seven out of eight meeting rooms are accessible by wheelchair
* Guide Dogs for the Blind are allowed everywhere on site
* Blind delegates can, by arrangement, be met from their taxi and escorted to their bedrooms, with hazards explained along the way. They can also be collected when they need to move around the Estate (eg. to training rooms, dining room etc.
* There are dedicated disabled parking spaces in all our car parks
* We offer delegates with severe mobility issues the option to check-in from their vehicle: staff will come out to you
* If you find it difficult to see and you’d like this website to display in a bigger font, hit ‘control’ and ‘+’ and you should zoom a page size up
