Team Away Days are part of a rolling programme to motivate and engage staff from a range of departments.   Sean Reaper, NFU Mutual’s Direct Marketing Co-ordinator, has been bringing the Direct Marketing Services team to us since 2009 and is delighted with the results:

“We love the fun and the flexibility of our Team Away Days at Cotswold Conference Centre. On our last visit in July, we were based in the Cheltenham Suite, which is a training room with its own balcony.

“The day started with bacon sandwiches and Danish pastries on arrival. Our morning sessions were group exercises in the Cheltenham Suite.  The room was perfect as it spacious and offers different breakout areas for smaller group work. The outside balcony is also superb with stunning countryside views.

“After a fantastic lunch in the restaurant (we even had our very own dining room) we held three outdoor team building activities. The activities are based in the magnificent and well-kept grounds.  This time we chose Equipoise, Pots of Gold and Kanw.  Cotswold Conference Centre arranged facilitation for each exercise. This allowed all members of the team to join in the activities, which were great fun but also engaging and thought provoking.  Everyone enjoyed the sessions.

“We see our Away Days as an excellent way to get together to gain a better understanding of how we can improve aspects of our work life but at the same time have a lot of fun.

“The day does take some planning, but the service and attentiveness from the sales and support staff make it easy.”
